And A Leaf Falls...

 
This work is inspired by the ancient woods where the spirits of our ancestors sheltered, hunted and died. They are magical places where tired urban folk can hear the echo of a vibrant past, can see nature in all her finery and can touch the outstretched branch of tree-life that grew old here long before we came.

These drawings and the musings that they in turn inspired are my homage to these woods – may they always be with us.
